Ameer Makhoul, director of the Israeli Palestinian human rights NGO, Ittijah, has been arrested by the Israeli Shin Bet and detained without any reason being given for his arrest. His home was ransacked, and he has not been able to consult with a lawyer. The charge is an unspecified national security violation and all this is done under a secret gag order precluding any Israeli media from reporting the story
